[Concall] Samsung Electronics "Memory Business Expected to Return to Profit in Q1"
Kim Jae-jun, Vice President and Head of Strategic Marketing at Samsung Electronics' Memory Business Division, stated during the 2023 annual and Q4 earnings conference call on the 31st, "We plan to actively respond to the demand for high-bandwidth memory (HBM) and server solid-state drives (SSD) related to generative artificial intelligence (AI) while focusing on improving profitability." He added, "Accordingly, our memory business is expected to return to profitability in the first quarter."

Samsung Electronics announced that its provisional consolidated operating profit for last year was 6.54 trillion KRW, and sales amounted to 258.16 trillion KRW.
