Kim Tae-jin, Gwangju Seo-gu Council Member, Proposes 'Influenza Vaccination Support Ordinance'
The Seo-gu Council of Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 31st that the "Ordinance on Support for Influenza Vaccination," proposed by Councilor Kim Tae-jin, has passed the standing committee review.
The ordinance includes provisions to support free vaccination to prevent the occurrence and spread of influenza.
The support targets workers aged 50 and over currently employed at workplaces located in Seo-gu, including those working in long-term care institutions, those entrusted with projects supporting the elderly, and daycare center workers.
Councilor Kim said, "With the enactment of this ordinance on support for influenza vaccination in Seo-gu, about 3,830 residents will be able to benefit from vaccination," adding, "We will continue to strive to gradually expand the support targets."
