Gurye-gun Holds Public Hearing to Decide Council Members' Legislative Activity Expenses
Hearing Residents' Opinions on the Increase of Legislative Activity Expenses
Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will hold a public hearing for residents on February 2 at the Gurye Culture and Arts Center to decide the council members' legislative activity expenses.
Due to the revision of the Enforcement Decree of the Local Autonomy Act in December last year, the range of legislative activity expenses for local council members was adjusted from up to 1.1 million KRW to up to 1.5 million KRW per month.
Accordingly, the Gurye-gun Legislative Expense Deliberation Committee held its first meeting on the 12th and decided to determine the legislative activity expenses after collecting residents' opinions through the public hearing.
Any resident of Gurye-gun can attend this public hearing and present their opinions on the decision of the legislative activity expenses for Gurye-gun council members for 2024 to 2026.
Based on the results of collecting residents' opinions, the Gurye-gun Legislative Expense Deliberation Committee plans to finalize the legislative activity expenses at the second meeting to be held later and revise the related ordinance.
