As the first Lunar New Year holiday since the easing of COVID-19 prevention measures approaches, the county has taken this step to ensure that seniors can spend a safe holiday. Although prevention standards have been relaxed, COVID-19 is still occurring, and efforts are being made to prevent situations that threaten the health of seniors with weakened immunity, such as hospitalization and treatment.
Yeongam-gun stated that receiving vaccines effective against the currently circulating variant virus is the best way to protect families from COVID-19. The public health center is visiting infection-vulnerable facilities from the 30th until the 2nd of next month to post informational posters and is also conducting on-site vaccinations upon request from these facilities.
