Agricultural and Food Export Level-Up Advancement Rally ... Resolution to Achieve 120 Million USD
On the 30th, Gyeongnam Nonghyup held the 2024 Agricultural Food Export Level-Up Advancement Conference in the large conference room on the 2nd floor of the Nonghyup Gyeongnam Headquarters, with about 30 participants including 23 export specialized organizations under Gyeongnam Nonghyup, Gyeongsangnam-do, aT Gyeongnam Headquarters, and the Agricultural Food Export Department of Nonghyup Economic Holdings.
The event included an analysis of the export status of Gyeongnam Nonghyup, sharing the 2024 Nonghyup export promotion direction, and explanations on Gyeongsangnam-do’s export support policies responding to the abolition of export logistics costs and government (aT) export support projects, followed by active discussions on ways to strengthen export competitiveness.
Despite difficult export conditions such as increased export costs due to global inflation, deteriorating profitability of export farms caused by the prolonged depreciation of the Japanese yen, and decreased export price competitiveness due to the abolition of export logistics cost support, this year Gyeongnam Nonghyup resolved to achieve $120 million in agricultural food exports and decided to focus on revitalizing exports.

To this end, Nonghyup will strengthen export competitiveness through ▲ fostering export specialized organizations as exclusive shipment organizations by item within Nonghyup ▲ establishing Nonghyup export hubs by expanding direct delivery export models ▲ enhancing competitiveness of export production area products ▲ responding to the abolition of export logistics costs, participating in policies, and expanding export fund support ▲ promoting local marketing cooperation with related organizations and systems.
The province will support export farms with box costs and joint sorting costs and support export companies with freshness maintenance costs to preserve freshness during export logistics through the 2024 K-Agricultural Products Strategic Item Integrated Support Project in response to the abolition of export logistics costs.
Lee Moon-hee, head of the provincial agricultural food export team, said, “We will actively support so that exports are not contracted by listening to field opinions and reflecting them in policies.”
No Hae-sung, director of the Nonghyup Agricultural Food Export Department, said, “We will gather valuable opinions from frontline export field workers and prepare various export field support measures so that Nonghyup can show achievements in export promotion.”
