Incheon Namdong-gu "Unified Management Fee Billing and Payment for General Houses"... Improvement Proposed to Government
If Policy Implemented, 9.2 Million Households Nationwide to Benefit
Namdong-gu, Incheon, has proposed to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to improve the system so that integrated billing and payment of management fees are possible for all types of housing.
According to the district on the 30th, currently, in multi-family housing such as apartments and officetels, various charges including electricity, water, and heating are all consolidated into one management fee payment notice. However, in general housing, individual charges are billed separately, causing inconvenience as residents have to make multiple payments. Payment deadlines also vary, which may lead to overdue payments and potential service suspensions or other disadvantages.
Namdong-gu holds the position that, similar to multi-family housing, integrated billing and payment of management fees should be possible for general housing as well.
The main points of the policy proposal include ▲expanding integrated housing management fee billing to general housing ▲including city gas charges in the integrated billing services ▲providing an option to pay individual service fees separately ▲introducing a real-time energy usage monitoring system.
Through this, the district expects that residents will benefit from increased convenience in paying management fees, and service providers will improve work efficiency by unifying duplicate tasks. Namdong-gu has actively identified and proposed policy improvements related to residents' overall living conditions, including welfare and low birth rates, to the government.
