Opposition Party's Public Official Committee, 6 Members with 'Nomination Exclusion Opinions'... Possibility of Incumbents Included
"May Increase Further After Review by the Morality Verification Committee"
The Democratic Party of Korea's Public Election Candidate Recommendation Management Committee is reported to have decided to exclude a total of six candidates from nomination during the process of verifying the morality of some applicants. Depending on the results of interviews and other evaluations conducted until the 5th of next month, these candidates are expected to be subject to the final cut-off.
According to opposition parties on the 30th, the Morality Verification Committee under the Democratic Party's Candidate Recommendation Committee conducted verification on candidates who were referred by the Party's Public Election Candidate Verification Committee with opinions such as "detailed review" or "on hold." Although these candidates did not have disqualifying reasons severe enough to be excluded at the verification committee stage, the Morality Verification Committee aimed to conduct a more detailed review once again.
