Reform New Party to Rename as 'Hanguk-ui Huimang' After General Election... Party Leader Lee Jun-seok, Floor Leader Yang Hyang-ja
The Reform New Party led by Representative Lee Jun-seok and Hope of Korea, led by Representative Yang Hyang-ja, have declared a merger. The party name will be used as Reform New Party until the general election, and will be changed to Hope of Korea after the first party convention following the election.
On the morning of the 29th, Reform New Party and Hope of Korea held a briefing at the National Assembly Communication Hall, stating, "Representative Lee will serve as party leader, and Representative Yang will serve as floor leader," and "The party name will be Reform New Party, but the slogan will be Hope of Korea."
The Hope of Korea side said, "The top priority agreed upon was to maintain the party name," adding, "Until the general election, Reform New Party and we will move forward as one, and after the general election, at the first party convention, we will continue as Hope of Korea. The party is also registered as Reform New Party with the National Election Commission."
The party convention will be held within 60 days after the April general election.

The Supreme Council of the unified party will be composed of two members from each party, excluding the party leader. The Secretary-General will be recommended by Reform New Party, and the Deputy Secretary-General by Hope of Korea.
