KIST Showcases Korean Quarantine Robot Technology at 'Arab Health 2024'
The Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST, President Yoon Seok-jin) announced that its Quarantine Robot Division (Head Oh Sang-rok) will participate in 'Arab Health 2024,' held from January 29 to February 1 (local time) at the Dubai World Trade Center in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The Quarantine Robot Division will showcase five public health management and infectious disease prevention robot technologies at Arab Health 2024, including the 'Intelligent Goods Transport and Delivery Robot System,' 'Intelligent Autonomous Quarantine Robot System for Multi-use Facilities and Living Spaces,' and 'Non-contact Automatic Nasal Specimen Extraction Robot System,' which can be immediately applied to residential treatment facilities, daily quarantine sites, and intensive care settings.

Head Oh Sang-rok stated, "The technologies developed by the division have already been validated in hospitals," adding, "We are simultaneously promoting the global standardization of the technologies currently under development, and for some technologies, which are at a level that can be directly applied to the global trend of hospital smartification, we hope to establish global partnerships at Arab Health."
