Ottogi launched the dumpling brand ‘X.O. Mandu’ in 2019 and is strengthening its position in the frozen dumpling market.
X.O. Mandu stands for ‘eXtra Ordinary.’ The product is characterized by being filled with carefully selected ingredients such as meat, vegetables, and seafood, without including glass noodles. Considering the diverse tastes of consumers, they have established a wide lineup including Gyoza, Gunmandu (fried dumplings), Shumai, Mulmandu (boiled dumplings), Sonmandu (handmade dumplings), and Goolimmandu (rolled dumplings).
Recently, they launched ‘Delicious Snowflake Gyoza,’ featuring a dazzling visual concept inspired by ‘snowflakes.’ The new product offers two types of taste and texture simultaneously, with one half crispy and the other half moist.
In July last year, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its release, the potato rice cake dumplings were renewed and introduced as ‘X.O. Potato Rice Cake Dumplings Meat·Kimchi.’ Featuring thin and translucent dumpling skins and filled without glass noodles, the product also reflects consumer feedback that previous dumplings were somewhat large, offering a convenient size that fits in one bite.
