Dongjak-gu Provides Up to 5.1 Million KRW Support to Small Businesses Employing Residents
Implementation of SME Employment Support Program for the First Time This Year... Support for Up to 2 Employees if Employment is Maintained for Over 3 Months, Applications Open from the 25th
Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Il-ha) is implementing the 'Small and Medium Enterprise Employment Support Project' for the first time this year to alleviate manpower shortages in small and medium enterprises and expand employment opportunities for residents.
The 'Small and Medium Enterprise Employment Support Project' is a system that provides hiring incentives to small and medium enterprises located in Dongjak-gu when they newly hire Dongjak-gu residents as regular employees and maintain employment for more than three months.
The support funds are paid in installments at 3, 6, and 12 months from the hiring date: 900,000 KRW after 3 months, 1,200,000 KRW after 6 months, and 3,000,000 KRW after 12 months, with a maximum total of 5,100,000 KRW for 12 months.
Eligibility for application includes small and medium enterprises (including small business owners) with three or more regular employees located in Dongjak-gu, and the number of supported hires per company is up to two people.
Companies wishing to participate can download the application form, regular employment plan, and other required documents from the district website starting on the 25th, complete them, and then submit them by visiting, mailing, or emailing the Dongjak Employment Support Center (140 Noryangjin-ro, 2nd floor).
The employment support fund will end early once the budget is exhausted, and for more details, inquiries can be made to the Economic Policy Division of Dongjak-gu Office.
Through this project, it is expected that a virtuous cycle will be established, including resolving employment difficulties for small businesses, which account for 88% of all businesses in the district, and creating jobs for residents.
Dongjak-gu is implementing various policies for the sustainable growth of small and medium enterprises and small business owners, such as the Tomorrow Employment Support Project (formerly Youth Tomorrow Filling Deduction), SME Development Fund Loan Support (3 billion KRW), Special Guarantee Loan Support for Small Business Owners (25 billion KRW scale), and issuance of Dongjak Love Gift Certificates (46 billion KRW scale).
