DK Techin Decides to Absorb Kakao Enterprise Subsidiary KEP Through Merger
DK Tech, a technology information (IT) development subsidiary of Kakao, announced on the 23rd that it will merge with KEP, a subsidiary of Kakao Enterprise.
Through this merger, DK Tech plans to integrate the excellent development personnel, technological capabilities, and client base acquired into its existing business units to create synergy, aiming not only to increase sales but also to maximize service competitiveness and expand its influence in the market. The merger date is set for March 1.
Since 2015, DK Tech has been providing system integration (SI) and total IT services for Kakao affiliates. Since 2020, it has been actively developing its B2B (business-to-business) operations targeting government, local governments, and private companies. Its main businesses include digital transformation, smart construction and smart cities, enterprise information solutions (groupware), artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots, SAP ERP, and information technology outsourcing (ITO).
