Search Climate Change and Receive Carbon Neutral Points via Naver Pay
MOU with Tannokwi, Ministry of Environment, and Seoul National University
Collaboration on Integrated Carbon Neutrality Information Search, etc.
Naver announced on the 23rd that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the '2050 Carbon Neutral Green Growth Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Tannokwi)', the Ministry of Environment, and Seoul National University to cooperate in 'providing information to raise public awareness and encourage practice of carbon neutrality and green growth.'
Naver will cooperate to make it easy to check integrated information provided on the 'Carbon Neutral Policy Portal' operated by the Ministry of Environment through Naver's search and other services. Discussions will continue with Seoul National University and the Ministry of Environment to enable easy access via Naver integrated search to domestic regional greenhouse gas emission status information currently being researched and developed by the Seoul National University Climate Tech Center.
Additionally, Naver will collaborate with the Ministry of Environment to improve the convenience of the 'Carbon Neutral Point' system. The 'Carbon Neutral Point' system provides incentives for practicing eco-friendly activities such as purchasing eco-friendly products, using reusable containers, and issuing electronic receipts. It is expected that these incentives will be provided as Naver Pay points.

Cha Seon-ju, Head of External and ESG Policy at Naver, said, "We will cooperate to enable users to accurately and easily access information related to climate change and carbon neutrality and to practice together by utilizing various Naver platforms such as search." She added, "As a global internet platform company and an ESG leading company, we will continue our efforts to diversify and spread eco-friendly values."
