Weisen Supplies AI Endoscopy Diagnostic Support Software to Central Veterans Hospital
Weisen announced on the 23rd that on the 22nd, it signed a business agreement with the Korea Veterans Health Service Central Veterans Hospital for the completion of supply of the AI-based stomach and colon endoscopy software 'Weimed Endo' and for the expansion of the software to national medical centers nationwide.
Through this business agreement, the two parties plan to explore ways to operate high-quality endoscopic examinations using Weimed Endo. Additionally, since it is being introduced in public hospitals, they will cooperate to ensure that advanced medical technology is used in a socially and publicly valuable manner.
Weimed Endo is the first domestic medical device software that analyzes stomach and colon endoscopy examinations in real time using AI. Beyond lesion detection, it provides medical staff with suspected gastric cancer areas and the probability of gastric cancer to assist diagnostic decisions. This innovative technology was recognized and designated as the 37th innovative medical device. As of last year, it has been installed in seven countries including Korea.
