Samsung Life Insurance Revamps Consultant Training System... Extends New Employee Training to 3 Years
On-site System Training, Reorganization Focused on Strengthening Sales Capabilities in Disease, Special Contracts, and Product Design
Samsung Life Insurance announced on the 23rd that it has revamped its training system to strengthen consultant capabilities.
Hong Won-hak, President of Samsung Life Insurance, emphasized in his '2024 New Year's Address' earlier this year that the training system must be improved so that consultants can grow into differentiated financial experts. Samsung Life Insurance has reorganized its training system to support the growth of consultants and to cultivate financial experts who can protect the health and lives that customers value.
The training period for new consultants has been extended from 2 years to 3 years. The existing on-site systematic training has been reorganized to focus on strengthening sales capabilities such as diseases, special contracts, and product design, and the target for specialized training through training centers has been expanded to include consultants up to their third year. Through this, the six core competencies for new consultants?consultantship, sales process, financial qualifications, ethical sales, products, and sales skills?are cultivated to support long-term settlement of over three years.
Training for existing consultants has also been significantly revamped. Group training sessions at training centers to enhance consulting capabilities will be held regularly once every quarter. Priority participation will be given to consultants with more than three years of experience for specialized training that supports consulting capability improvement by theme. The consultant training platform application 'Smart Ssok Ssok' has been revamped with product, health, and disease content to provide a constant learning environment regardless of time and place, allowing any Samsung Life Insurance consultant to access and learn autonomously.
For outstanding consultants, industry-academia linked programs are operated in collaboration with Yonsei University and Sungkyunkwan University to nurture the next generation of financial leaders. The Yonsei-Samsung Financial Leader program, held once a year, selects consultants with more than three years of experience, while the Sungkyunkwan-Samsung Next Generation Leader program, held twice a year, selects consultants with less than three years of experience. In addition to economic and financial indicators, more advanced educational opportunities such as corporate, tax, and affluent client consulting will be provided to support consultants in broadly strengthening their capabilities.
