Sancheong-gun Conducts Joint Safety Inspection of Fire-Vulnerable Facilities
Field-Specific Inspection Led by Deputy Governor Han Mi-Young
Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 23rd that it conducted a joint safety inspection of fire-vulnerable facilities.
The inspection, led by Deputy Governor Han Mi-young, involved the Sancheong Fire Station, Korea Electrical Safety Corporation Gyeongnam Western Branch, and Gas Safety Sancheong. The inspections were carried out at five locations, including traditional markets, aging apartment complexes, and nursing facilities.

View original imageIn particular, inspections were conducted in specialized fields such as fire safety, gas, and electricity to enhance the effectiveness of the safety checks and to prevent safety accidents for residents using the facilities. The inspection confirmed the presence of evacuation spaces, balconies, ramps, connecting corridors, and the installation and marking of firefighter access windows at each facility.
By field, the inspection checked whether fire safety managers were appointed, the installation and operation of fire safety equipment, grounding of electrical machines and devices, operation of leakage circuit breakers, and maintenance of detour distances between flammable gas facilities and places handling fire sources.

Deputy Governor Han said, “We will continue on-site inspections with related agencies to ensure that all residents can safely spend the winter without fire damage,” adding, “We will conduct even more thorough inspections of multi-use facilities with a high risk of fire, such as traditional markets.”
