HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore, the intermediate holding company of HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, announced on the 22nd that it has secured orders for three vessels worth approximately 491.1 billion KRW.
HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore recently signed a construction contract with a shipping company based in Latin America for three ultra-large ammonia carriers (VLACs).
The vessels ordered this time will be built at HD Hyundai Heavy Industries in Ulsan and are scheduled for delivery by June 2028.
HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore is leading this market by securing a total of 11 VLACs orders this year alone.
