Gwangju Nam-gu Supports Cooling and Heating Systems for 500 Households in the District
"Stay warm in winter and cool in summer through the energy efficiency improvement project"
Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, in collaboration with the Korea Energy Foundation, is launching an energy efficiency improvement project to provide insulation, windows, and cooling devices to energy-vulnerable households.
According to Nam-gu on the 22nd, recruitment for households participating in the energy efficiency improvement project will take place from February 1 to July 31.
This year's project budget is 1 billion KRW from the national government.
Nam-gu will select 500 households within the district, including recipients of the National Basic Livelihood Security, near-poor households, and low-income families, to support insulation, windows, boilers, and cooling devices.
However, households eligible for housing benefits who own their homes and receive repair and maintenance benefits, households living in government, LH, or Urban Corporation-owned housing, unauthorized buildings, and households that have received support through this project within the past two years are excluded from eligibility.
The project consists of two types: a heating project supporting insulation, windows, boilers, and floor construction, and a cooling project installing high-efficiency air conditioners. The average support amount per household for the heating project is about 2.43 million KRW, and for the cooling project, about 750,000 KRW.
