View original imageAccording to the Gwangju Meteorological Office on the 22nd, as of 8:30 a.m., heavy snow warnings have been issued for Gwangju and two counties in Jeonnam, Jangseong and Yeonggwang.
A heavy snow warning is issued when the accumulated snowfall is forecasted to reach 5 cm or more within 24 hours.
Preliminary heavy snow advisories have been issued for nine counties in Jeonnam (Naju, Damyang, Haenam, Yeongam, Muan, Hampyeong, Mokpo, Sinan, Jindo).
Due to the influence of snow cloud bands developing over the West Sea, 5 to 15 cm of snow is expected from the morning of the 22nd until the next day in Gwangju and the western region of Jeonnam, with some areas receiving up to 20 cm or more.
The eastern region of Jeonnam is expected to see snowfall accumulation between 1 and 3 cm.
As cold air moves southward from the northwest, daytime high temperatures on the day will range from -3°C to 1°C.
The following morning's low temperatures will range from -9°C to -4°C, with daytime highs between -4°C and 0°C.
