Hwang Jung-gon has secured his Asian Tour card.
On the 20th, at the Springfield Royal Country Club (Par 72) in Hua Hin, Thailand, Hwang finished the final 5th round of the 2024 Asian Tour Qualifying School with a 3-under-par 69, tying for 6th place overall (13-under-par 345). Hwang Jung-gon is a skilled player with 3 wins on the Korean Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) Korean Tour and 4 wins on the Japan Golf Tour Organization (JGTO). A total of 219 players participated in this tournament, with the top 35 earning their tour cards. Christopher Broberg (Sweden) earned the honor of medalist with an 18-under-par 340.

Korea's Jeong Han-mil also performed well, tying for 6th place. In addition to these two players, Jo Woo-young finished 12th (11-under-par 347), Wang Jeong-hoon 15th (10-under-par 348), and Park Chan-gyu 26th (8-under-par 350), all earning eligibility to compete in Asian Tour events. This year's Asian Tour season opener is the IRS Prima Malaysia Open (total prize money $1 million), starting on February 15.
