‘Safe Workplace’ Led by Public Institutions… Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency Supports Safety Management Grade Evaluation
The Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (Chairman An Jong-ju) is officially supporting safety management grade assessments and launching the ‘Safe Workplace’ project led by public institutions.
On the 19th, the agency announced that it will support safety management grade assessments starting with the full meeting of the Public Institution Safety Management Assessment Team, hosted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, held at the Seoul Regional Public Procurement Service.
The Public Institution Safety Grade Assessment Team meeting is held annually as a procedure to evaluate the safety management capabilities and levels of public institutions and to assign grades to each institution.
This year, the agency plans to strengthen on-site verification during the safety management grade assessments of public institutions to enhance the implementation of on-site safety activities and support the operation of risk level management systems.
Additionally, it will assist in establishing and implementing recurrence prevention plans centered on safety and health management systems for public institutions where fatal accidents have occurred. In particular, to establish a self-regulatory prevention system focused on risk assessment, the agency plans to actively support the implementation of risk assessments by public institutions.
