Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) held the "Gwangjin Family Love Blood Donation" event on the 18th at the Gwangjin-gu Office parking lot (Ginkgo Tree Road) for employees and residents.
Since 2011, the district has been promoting regular blood donation events at least twice a year to respond to the continuous decrease in blood supply. Approximately 1,500 employees and residents have participated up to last year.
This event was organized to alleviate the blood supply shortage during the winter season, with a total of 55 district office employees and residents participating in the blood donation, practicing warm neighborly love and sharing life.
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, "I thank the employees and residents who voluntarily practiced sharing despite the cold weather," and added, "We will continue to promote blood donation campaigns to contribute to stabilizing the blood supply and to spread the culture of sharing."
