Mokwon University announced that President Lee Hee-hak officially took office as the 11th President of the Daejeon Christian Leaders Club on the 19th.

The Daejeon Christian Leaders Club was established in November 2003. Currently, about 40 leaders from organizations and institutions in the Daejeon area participate in its activities. The club holds a regular breakfast meeting once a month, conducts seminars to promote faith, and fosters fellowship gatherings, with the main focus being discussions on the development of the local community.
President Lee stated, “With the attitude and heart of a good stethoscope, I will strive to faithfully fulfill the responsibilities entrusted to me during my term as president,” and added, “Furthermore, I will promote various activities for the revival of the Daejeon Christian Leaders Club members and the region during my term,” as his inaugural address.

Meanwhile, President Lee graduated from the College of Theology at Mokwon University and earned a Ph.D. in Theology from Humboldt University in Berlin, Germany. Appointed as a professor in the Department of Theology at Mokwon University in 2000, he has held key positions including Vice President for Academic Affairs, Vice President for External Cooperation, Dean of Academic Affairs, Director of International Cooperation, and Director of the International Education Center. He assumed office as the 10th President of Mokwon University in September 2022.
