HD Hyundai Heavy Industries, Orders Two Ultra-Large Ammonia Carriers for 333 Billion KRW
HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering announced on the 18th that it has signed a contract to build two ultra-large ammonia carriers with a shipping company based in Oceania.
The contract amount is approximately 333 billion KRW.
The ordered vessels will be constructed at HD Hyundai Heavy Industries in Ulsan and are scheduled for delivery by April 2027.
With this contract, the company has secured a total of 29 vessels worth 2.64 billion USD this year, achieving 19.5% of its annual order target of 13.5 billion USD.
By vessel type, the orders include 2 liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers, 15 petrochemical carriers (PC vessels), and 12 liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and ammonia carriers.
