Doosan Heavy Equipment Center Donates 4.5 Million KRW to Support Abused Children in Changwon Special City
Doosan Heavy Equipment Center donated 4.5 million KRW on the 18th to Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, for children who have suffered abuse, becoming the fifth participant in the donation relay.
Since last year, Changwon Special City has been promoting the donation relay titled "Even if Scratched by Petals, Scars Remain," connecting local resources to support the recovery of abused children and their families.
The donated funds from the relay will be used by the Changwon Child Protection Agency for programs aimed at restoring the functions of families of abused children and preventing re-abuse.
The donation relay "Even if Scratched by Petals, Scars Remain" operates by donors contributing 1 million KRW or more and then nominating the next participant or donating voluntarily for the benefit of abused children.
With the four previous donations, various recovery programs have been conducted, including ▲home visits by professional counselors for psychological counseling and treatment ▲family pottery making ▲Masan Robot Land experience ▲family photo shoots ▲support for parenting skill books ▲one-night two-day family trips ▲safety experiences and sledding park visits.
Son Jong-ho, CEO of Doosan Heavy Equipment Center, who participated in the donation, said, "I want to deliver true warmth where it is unseen," adding, "I hope our children experience good memories in their daily lives and never lose their smiles. I will continue to actively participate in donation activities."
