Gwangju Buk-gu, Operation of Public Library 'Winter Reading Class'
On the 18th, Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced that it will operate reading classes for elementary school students at five district-run libraries during the winter vacation.
These reading classes are designed with various themes at each library to provide elementary school students with unique reading activities during the winter vacation and to encourage interest in reading.
First, Unam Library will hold a reading class titled "Our Common Winter Vacation" for four days starting from the 23rd, using the popular children's book series "Heunhan Nammae" (Common Siblings). Shinyong Library will operate a reading class for three days starting from the 30th under the theme "War and Peace" to raise awareness about the importance of peace.
Jungheung Library will run a program called "Constellation Stories Brighter than Stars," exploring constellations from myths, for three days starting from the 17th. Ilgok Library will operate a program called "Let's Play Economics," which introduces basic economic concepts, for three days starting from the 30th.
Additionally, on the last day of each library's reading class, certificates will be awarded to exemplary students, and all participants will receive prizes such as reading notebooks.
