BPA Hosts Special Lecture by Lim Ki-taek, Honorary Secretary-General of IMO and Former President of the World Maritime Organization
Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Kang Jun-seok) held a special lecture on the 16th to commemorate its 20th anniversary, inviting Lim Ki-taek, Honorary Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO).

View original imageSecretary-General Lim Ki-taek is a world-renowned figure in the shipping, port, and logistics sectors who served as the 9th Secretary-General of the IMO, known as the "World Maritime President," for eight years from 2016 to 2023. He also served as the 4th President of Busan Port Authority from 2012 to 2015.
After stepping down as the 4th President of Busan Port Authority, Lim Ki-taek spent eight years on the global stage and, upon returning, met with employees for the first time in a while. He shared the positive impressions of Korea and Busan Port held by the international community and emphasized the experiential knowledge and global mindset necessary for BPA’s future talents to succeed on the international stage.
