The Gyeongbuk Office of Education (Superintendent Lim Jong-sik) is actively conducting educational activities that utilize human and material resources from the local community to ensure that students can take the courses they want in preparation for the full implementation of the high school credit system in 2025.
Although there is high student demand for certain courses, some could not be offered due to the lack of specialized teachers. By collaborating with local specialized related institutions, practical and hands-on classes are being conducted, receiving very positive responses and high satisfaction from participating schools and students.
Gyeongju Girls' High School is conducting high school credit system classes in collaboration with the Korea Arts & Culture Education Service.
View original imageYeongyang Girls' High School has established a ‘Life Science Experiment’ course taught by a biology PhD instructor in collaboration with the National Endangered Species Restoration Center in the area, and Sangju Girls' High School has linked with the National Nakdong River Biological Resources Center located in Sangju city to offer the same course.
Hamchang High School in Sangju has also gained great student response by opening courses such as ‘Understanding Fashion Design’ and ‘Understanding Cultural Content’ with support from the Korea Hanbok Promotion Agency and the Gyeongbuk Cultural Foundation Content Promotion Institute.
Gyeongju Girls' High School, in partnership with the Korea Arts & Culture Education Service, operates specialized practical and hands-on classes by offering courses like ‘Understanding Film’ and ‘Animation Content Production’.
