Earlier, Dong-A University signed an ‘MOU for the Local Government-University Cooperation-Based Regional Innovation (RIS) Project Busan Area Secondary Battery Shared University’ with the Busan area secondary battery industry-academia complex, Busan Technopark, and local universities, and conducted talent training education for the secondary battery industry.

The education program, organized by the Clean Energy Convergence Components and Materials Project Group at Dong-A University, started on December 27 last year with Kumyang Co., Ltd. and was completed over three sessions at Dong-A University Bumin Campus and Busan Seomyeon Lotte Hotel.

About 80 employees working in the Busan area secondary battery industry participated in this education. Certificates of completion were issued to those who attended all three sessions, and at the completion ceremony, Senior Researcher Choi Bora of Kumyang Co., Ltd. received the certificate on behalf of the participants.

Director Choi said, “Based on the know-how gained from this secondary battery field education, we plan to expand education to the hydrogen and power semiconductor fields reflecting the demand of employees in the Busan area,” adding, “We will strive to ensure that employee education leads to job and practical mentoring with university students in the Busan area, creating opportunities for them to settle in excellent companies within our region.”
