Gwangju Seo-gu - Social Enterprises Sign MOU to Create Jobs for Multicultural Immigrant Women
Seo-gu District of Gwangju Metropolitan City and local companies have joined forces to help multicultural migrant women settle stably by providing job opportunities and chances for social participation.
On the 12th, Seo-gu announced that it signed a business agreement with the Seo-gu Family Center (Director Yoon Hye-kyung) and four social enterprises to create jobs for multicultural migrant women.

Earlier, in November last year, Seo-gu held a communication meeting with multicultural migrant women to listen to various opinions and difficulties, and promoted this agreement to address their desire for stable employment.
To jointly consider and solve these local community issues, social enterprises including Cheonghwa Food Co., Ltd. (CEO Jo Mi-jung), Chamjoeun Food Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Hwa-soon), Human Resources Co., Ltd. (CEO Choi Kyung-ok), and Cleaning Doctor Cooperative (CEO Kim Mi-jung) participated.
On this day, each company and institution promised ▲ to build a business-friendly infrastructure and provide customized support through professional career counselors ▲ to prioritize hiring multicultural migrant women and provide stable jobs ▲ to improve the quality of life of multicultural migrant women through linkage between companies and employment.
Yoon Hye-kyung, director of the Seo-gu Family Center, said, “We are pleased to join forces with social enterprises to create jobs and expand social participation for multicultural migrant women,” adding, “We will actively support migrant women so that they can confidently participate as members of the local community.”
Kim Yi-gang, head of Seo-gu District Office, said, “We will spare no administrative support so that social enterprises, which are quietly working to create a mutually prosperous local community, can continue to grow.”
