Changnyeong-gun Conducts On-site Inspection of Apartment Complexes to Prevent Fire Damage

Changnyeong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, conducted on-site inspections of apartment complexes on the 11th to proactively prevent nationwide ongoing fire damages.
The on-site inspection was held under the leadership of Deputy Mayor Choi Young-ho. It was carried out jointly with related organizations such as the Changnyeong Fire Station, Korea Electrical Safety Corporation, and Korea Gas Safety Corporation at two apartment complexes in Namji-eup.

The inspection team focused on checking the proper operation of automated re-detection facilities and automatic opening and closing devices on rooftop access doors, as well as the operation of fire pump facilities and the opening and closing of fire doors. Safety inspections of shared electrical and gas facilities were also conducted simultaneously.
Prior to this on-site inspection, the county has been promoting fire safety inspections of multi-use facilities since the end of last year. On the 31st of last month, sample inspections were conducted together with related organizations on lodging businesses, sauna facilities, and apartment complexes.
