Medicox and US Iocell 'Customer Customized Secondary Battery Business Briefing'
Medicox announced on the 12th that it will hold a "Customer Customized Secondary Battery Business Briefing" with the U.S. secondary battery specialist company Eocell.
This briefing, focusing on the overall secondary battery industry including the manufacturing, distribution, and sales of battery materials, cells, and packs by the Medicox-Eocell joint venture (JV), will be held on the 16th.
At the event, executives from both companies, including Medicox CEO Hyun Kyung-seok, Eocell CEO Albert Zou, and President Patrick Gray, will attend to introduce the joint venture and share future business plans with financial institutions, related industry stakeholders, and journalists.
The customer customized secondary battery business promoted by the two companies involves manufacturing and supplying customized battery cells by combining various cathode materials such as lithium iron phosphate (LFP), nickel cobalt manganese (NCM), nickel cobalt aluminum (NCA), and nickel cobalt manganese aluminum (NCMA) in cylindrical and prismatic battery cell forms tailored to customer requirements.
Eocell was established by key talents who were responsible for core design and development at major domestic battery companies. Possessing next-generation high-capacity, high-energy cells, and fast-charging battery technology, Eocell has supplied batteries to major European automobile manufacturers and is currently conducting battery cell model development in Korea under a development contract with the Norwegian battery company Morrow Batteries. Additionally, it is negotiating and promoting secondary battery development projects with various customers worldwide.
