Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that the ‘G Science Investigation Team’ program will be operated as a winter vacation special lecture for elementary school students at the science education hub facility ‘Geumcheon Science Cube’ from January 10 to February 24.
‘G Science Investigation Team’ is a program that allows elementary school students to approach science in a friendly way by learning scientific principles, which can be difficult, through the process of catching a culprit.
This program is designed for about 160 students from grades 1 to 6, with 4 sessions for lower grades (1st to 3rd grade) and 12 sessions for upper grades (4th to 6th grade). The entire ‘Geumcheon Science Cube’ is set up as an immersive crime scene, where students participate in ‘G Science Investigation Team’ activities. They experience scientific crime investigation techniques such as fingerprint analysis, bloodstain collection, and footprint collection, enhancing their problem-solving and reasoning skills.
In addition, the ‘Geumcheon Science Cube’ winter vacation special lectures include programs that stimulate students’ interests and offer various experiences, such as ▲AI (Artificial Intelligence) Cloud Bread Making ▲AI (Artificial Intelligence) Robot Soccer Competition ▲Coding Party.
The staff in charge of ‘G Science Investigation Team’ said, “Students who attended the class explored various places with curious expressions and participated seriously. They found the solid story and realistically recreated space very interesting and amazing, and some even developed dreams of becoming science investigators.”
