11 Works Including 'Yeu' Selected for the 1st Jeonbuk Arts and Tourism Awards
On the 19th, an Award Ceremony Held at the Foundation's New Year Meeting
Jeonbuk Culture and Tourism Foundation (CEO Lee Kyung-yoon, hereinafter referred to as the Foundation) announced on the 11th that it has selected 11 recipients, including 'Yeou,' as the first winners of the '1st Jeollabuk-do Arts and Tourism Awards.'
According to the Foundation, this Arts and Tourism Award was first implemented last year as part of Jeonbuk Province's cultural tourism promotion efforts to boost the creative motivation of cultural artists and to enhance momentum in the tourism industry.
The recipients were selected evenly through candidate recommendations from September to December last year and two rounds of merit reviews, involving individuals, organizations, and companies active in various fields and genres within the cultural tourism sector.

The awardees include ▲ Design Evo (company, art fair and festival planning) ▲ Jeonju Daesaseupnori Preservation Society (organization, traditional arts preservation and Korean traditional music talent discovery) ▲ Jeonju Boys and Girls Choir (organization, youth performing arts development) ▲ Arcville (organization, local tourism content planning) ▲ Yeou (organization, barrier-free performances) ▲ Shim Jae-gyun (planning) ▲ Yang Jin-seong (performance) ▲ Lee Ki-hong (fine arts) ▲ Lee Jong-geun (literature) ▲ Lee Heung-jae (photography) ▲ Jeon Ho-gap (crafts), totaling 11 recipients.
The awards ceremony will be held on the 19th at the Ongoeul Hall on the first floor of Lahan Hotel in Jeonju, alongside the Foundation's New Year's gathering. Awardees will receive commendations from the governor and have their achievements exhibited in a merit archive. The exhibition will take place at the Jeonbuk Arts Center in March.
CEO Lee Kyung-yoon stated, "We will develop support projects and award systems to foster a culture of sharing where residents gather throughout the newly launched Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province to enjoy creative activities together and celebrate."
