Lee Byung-seok, Former Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Appointed as New Chairman of Korea IPTV Broadcasting Association
Lee Byung-seok, former Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly (photo), has been appointed as the new chairman of the Korea IPTV Broadcasting Association.
The Korea IPTV Broadcasting Association announced that Lee was finally appointed as the new chairman through a board meeting on the 3rd and a general meeting resolution on the 11th.
The new chairman graduated from Korea University and earned a Ph.D. in Political Science from the same university's graduate school. He also served as a visiting researcher at Indiana University in the United States and the Prague University of Economics and Business in the Czech Republic.
He served as the Education and Culture Secretary and Political Secretary at the Presidential Secretariat, and was a four-term member of the National Assembly from the 16th to the 19th sessions. During the 18th National Assembly, he was the chairman of the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee and president of the Korea-US Parliamentary Diplomacy Council. In the 19th National Assembly, he served as Deputy Speaker and chairman of the Special Committee on Political Reform.

Chairman Lee is scheduled to take office on the 1st of next month, with a term of two years.
