Ministry of Economy and Finance Holds Public-Private Consultative Meeting to Discuss AI and Semiconductors
On the 11th, the Ministry of Economy and Finance held a public-private consultative meeting at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry with cooperation and organizations participating in the 15 major projects of the New Growth 4.0 strategy.
The participating fields include Urban Air Mobility (UAM), hydrogen, autonomous driving, logistics, robotics, intelligent power grids, ports, agriculture, batteries, displays, semiconductors, shipbuilding, quantum, medical MyData, small modular reactors (SMR), regenerative medicine, space exploration, digital healthcare, artificial intelligence (AI), smart manufacturing, cybersecurity, and K-content.
At this meeting, they reviewed the on-site difficulties identified through a total of 27 public-private consultative meetings last year and the results of the measures taken, and shared the progress of each project and key policy tasks.
Hong Du-seon, Deputy Minister for Economic Policy, stated, "We expect to contribute to restoring the dynamism of our economy by accelerating the promotion of the 15 major projects of the New Growth 4.0 strategy, expanding the foundation for fostering future promising industries, and securing growth engines." He added, "This year, we plan to further strengthen the public-private consultative body and expand on-site visits based on private sector demand."
