Dongjak-gu, First Autonomous District in Seoul to Operate 'Serious Accident Prevention Reporting Center'
Any Dongjak-gu Resident Can Report Risk Factors Online and Offline... Violations of Safety-Related Laws, etc.
Dongjak-gu (Mayor Park Il-ha) will operate the 'Serious Accident Prevention Reporting Center' starting this month, the first of its kind among Seoul's autonomous districts, to promptly resolve anxiety factors in residents' daily lives.
The Dongjak-gu 'Serious Accident Prevention Reporting Center' is a channel where any Dongjak-gu resident can report or suggest online or offline various harmful and dangerous factors related to construction and work ordered or directly carried out by the district, as well as serious citizen accident facilities.
The district has established the 'Serious Accident Prevention Reporting Center' within the Urban Safety Division of the district office and linked a reporting system on the district website to strengthen the management and supervision system for various risk factors threatening safety.
Reports can be submitted by phone or visit to the Serious Accident Prevention Reporting Center on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., or anytime through the district office website.
Reported matters will be inspected for legal violations and immediately corrected on-site. If a serious risk is anticipated, work will be stopped or supplemented to ensure safety.
Additionally, the district introduced the 'Pre-Review System for Safety Work Plans' in March last year and completed safety inspections of over 250 construction and work sites through a dedicated serious accident team within the district office.
Starting in March, the district plans to operate the 'Dongjak-gu Serious Accident Monitoring Team,' composed of safety experts, to enhance the effectiveness of continuous on-site inspections.
