Mapo District Mayor Park Gang-su Encourages 'Street Environment Guardians'
On the afternoon of the 10th, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, visited Yeonnam-dong in Mapo-gu to encourage street environmental security officers active in the area.
There are a total of 122 street environmental security officers in Mapo-gu who collect and organize recyclable materials left on the streets, promoting resource recycling and creating a clean surrounding environment.
On this day, Mayor Park Gang-su presented three street environmental security officers with hot pack scarves and cold-weather clothing supported by the Seoul Metropolitan Government to ensure safe collection activities of recyclables during the winter, and offered words of encouragement.
Mayor Park Gang-su said, “I would like to express my gratitude to the street environmental security officers who work hard for a clean Mapo even in the cold winter. Since you work outdoors, please pay special attention to maintaining your body temperature and safety. Mapo-gu will continue to take an interest and support so that street environmental security officers can safely carry out recyclable collection activities.”
