Eunpyeong-gu "80% Wage Support for Hiring Interns in Their 40s and 50s"
Recruiting Companies for Internship Program Participation Until the 5th of Next Month
Seoul Eunpyeong-gu (District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) is recruiting companies to participate in the ‘4050 New Leap Internship Program,’ which provides incentives to companies hiring new employees in their 40s and 50s, until the 5th of next month.
The ‘4050 New Leap Internship Program’ offers work experience for reemployment to workers in their 40s and 50s, whose numbers are gradually increasing due to early retirement, and provides companies with opportunities to hire middle-aged and older talent while reducing labor cost burdens.
Selected companies for the internship program will receive support covering 80% of labor costs for up to 9 months, and if the company continues to employ the worker after the labor cost support period ends, an additional retention support fund of 2 million KRW per worker will be provided.
Eligible participants are companies (businesses) located in Eunpyeong-gu with five or more regular employees, and priority will be given to companies with a high likelihood of continuing to employ the participating workers after the internship period ends.
Companies wishing to participate can apply by visiting the Job Economy Division on the 2nd floor of Eunpyeong-gu Office with the application form and related documents by the 5th of next month, or by submitting them via the designated email.
Through a three-stage screening process including document review, on-site inspection, and interview, a total of 8 job positions will be selected, with 1 to 2 positions available per company. For more details, please refer to the announcement on the district website or contact the Job Economy Division.
