Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, will conduct education and promotion of the Integrated Health Promotion Project for residents participating in the ‘2024 New Year Practical Education for Farmers’ (January 4 to February 23) organized by the Agricultural Technology Center.

View original imageThe Integrated Health Promotion Project is a program that operates comprehensively according to the life cycle stages of residents, reflecting their needs, with the purpose of encouraging healthy living practices, preventing chronic diseases, and managing the health of vulnerable groups in the community.
To this end, basic tests (blood pressure and blood sugar) are conducted in connection with the New Year farmers’ education, followed by health consultations and education on the Integrated Health Promotion Project (smoking cessation, oral health, nutrition, mental health, dementia, and prevention of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases), providing information for residents to practice healthy living in the new year.
A participant, Mr. A, said, “I came to the education center to learn how to farm better, but I was glad to gain various information and improve habits to protect my health.”
