The Ministry of SMEs and Startups selected 100 'Regional Innovation Leading Companies' in 14 non-capital region cities and provinces in November 2022. Among them, companies were chosen as Super-Regional Leading Companies based on their collaboration capabilities such as technology cooperation, production, and sales with companies from other regions.
The Ministry will support Super-Regional Leading Companies with up to 200 million KRW over three years for product improvement, market expansion, and consulting. A technology guarantee program with a limit of 5 billion KRW will also be operated. In collaboration with the Financial Services Commission, policy finance programs including 200 billion KRW in credit guarantees and 500 billion KRW in loans will be linked and supported for Regional Innovation Leading Companies and Super-Regional Leading Companies.
