Namhae-gun Public Health Center Awards Civilian Meritorious Service Commendation from Gyeongnam Governor for COVID-19 Response
The Namhae County Public Health Center in Gyeongnam recognized civilians who dedicated themselves on the front lines of quarantine efforts to overcome the COVID-19 crisis and presented commendations from the Governor of Gyeongsangnam-do.
On the 9th, the award recipients were Director Kim Bonghwan of Nuga Clinic and Pharmacist Byun Wonsu of Daegyo Pharmacy.
Director Kim voluntarily operated the Respiratory Patient Treatment Center (One-Stop Treatment Institution) from July 1, 2022, during the COVID-19 crisis, promptly treating suspected COVID-19 patients with respiratory symptoms such as fever and cough. He was also recognized for actively establishing a cooperative system with health institutions.
Pharmacist Byun was acknowledged for actively participating in the sale of public masks despite disruptions in pharmacy operations during the mask shortage crisis caused by the spread of COVID-19. He was also recognized for voluntarily operating an oral antiviral medication dispensing institution for high-risk patients.
