Anyang City to Provide Up to 400,000 KRW Support for Used and New Students' Uniform Purchases
Anyang City in Gyeonggi Province, in collaboration with Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, will provide up to 400,000 KRW to new middle and high school students in the area for the purchase of school uniforms, gym clothes, and daily wear.
Anyang City estimates that the number of eligible recipients will reach about 10,000 new students across 46 middle and high schools within the city.
With this expanded support, Anyang City explained that new students attending middle and high schools within the city but residing outside the city (other than Anyang) who were previously excluded from gym clothes support will now be eligible to receive assistance for purchasing gym clothes and daily wear starting this year.
Additionally, to promote universal free education, Anyang City, in cooperation with Gyeonggi Province, will provide up to 400,000 KRW for the purchase of school uniforms and gym clothes to new students who are registered residents of the city but enroll in alternative education institutions or middle and high schools in other regions.
New students at the 46 middle and high schools within the city will have their schools apply collectively through school-organized purchasing procedures, while new students attending alternative education institutions or schools in other regions can apply online via Gyeonggi Minwon 24 or visit their local administrative welfare center to submit their application.
