Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province is launching customized collection efforts for overdue taxes.
On the 8th, Yongin City announced that it will recruit 20 members for the 'Delinquent Taxpayer Survey Team' to provide tax payment guidance to delinquent taxpayers and identify livelihood-type delinquents for tailored collection activities.

View original imageThe Delinquent Taxpayer Survey Team will visit or contact delinquent taxpayers by phone from March to September to inform them of their overdue status and payment methods. For livelihood-type delinquents, customized welfare services such as emergency welfare support and job assistance will also be linked.
Last year, the city collected 2.8 billion won in overdue taxes through a delinquent taxpayer survey and provided tailored welfare services to 34 livelihood-type delinquents identified during the process.
Anyone aged 18 or older who is a resident of Yongin City can apply to join the Delinquent Taxpayer Survey Team. Those interested can refer to the recruitment announcement under 'Recruitment/Exam Information' on the city’s website and submit their application at the comprehensive civil service consultation desk on the first floor of City Hall from the 17th to the 19th. The city plans to announce the final successful candidates on the 16th of next month after document screening and interviews.
Successful applicants will complete basic job training starting March 4 and then be assigned to departments such as the Collection Division to begin work.

A city official stated, "Through the delinquent taxpayer survey, we will actively assist in collecting overdue taxes and linking necessary welfare services to livelihood-type delinquents who are in welfare blind spots."
