View original imageThe Jeju District Prosecutors' Office announced on the 5th that it had dismissed the pre-arrest warrant requested by the police for Mr. A, a man in his 40s accused of making threats. Accordingly, Mr. A was released around 1 a.m. that day.
The prosecution stated, "The warrant was dismissed after considering various circumstances," but declined to disclose detailed reasons for the dismissal.
Mr. A is suspected of posting a message on an internet site at 9:38 p.m. on the 2nd, threatening to kill Chairman Han. The police identified the author of the post and, in cooperation with the Gwangju Police Agency, apprehended Mr. A at his residence in Usan-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju, at 5:25 a.m. on the 3rd.
