"Only for Residents' Convenience"... Jin Gyo-hoon, Gangseo District Mayor, Accelerates Open Communication Administration
Touring All 20 Neighborhoods by February 2... Explanation of 2024 Lunar New Year Directions and Key Policies
Jin Gyo-hoon, Mayor of Gangseo District Office in Seoul, will hold the ‘2024 New Year’s Work Report Meetings at the Dong Resident Centers’ from the 4th of this month to the 2nd of next month, touring 20 neighborhoods in the district to communicate with residents.
Mayor Jin organized this event to share concrete policies that will realize the vision of Gangseo in the 8th elected term, “A Future Added Together, Gangseo Shared Together,” and to listen to voices from the field as close as possible to the residents.
On the first day of the tour, the 4th, at 3 p.m., Mayor Jin visited the Deungchon 1-dong Resident Center’s New Year’s Work Report Meeting and explained the 2024 district administration direction and major policy projects to local residents.
He then continued communication through candid conversations with residents about village issues. Residents made various suggestions, including installing CCTV to crack down on illegal parking near Deungmaru Park, securing passageways on the road from Yangcheon-ro 542 to Yangcheon-ro 60-gil 60, and applying anti-slip measures on frequently used slopes by residents.
In response, Mayor Jin personally addressed each resident’s opinion and took direct care of local issues. In particular, he promised to carefully manage everything without neglect, from small daily inconveniences to mid- and long-term issues that require review and cannot be resolved immediately.
The district plans to actively reflect the diverse opinions raised by residents through this Dong New Year’s Work Report Meeting in the district administration.
Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon said, “I will always serve the residents with a humble attitude and become a true worker who works at the residents’ eye level,” adding, “I will prioritize only residents’ convenience and happiness and implement policies for the residents.”
