Konjinwon 1st Anniversary 'On The K: 360' Opens
K-Pop Artists Including Apink, Miraesonyeon Appear
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency announced on the 4th that they held 'On The K: 360' at Lotte Mall Jakarta, Indonesia, at the end of last year.
This event marked the 1st anniversary of the opening of Korea 360. Korea 360 is an overseas promotional center supported by related government ministries to assist the overseas expansion and promotion of Hallyu content and related industries. Eight organizations participate, including the Korea Creative Content Agency as the lead institution, the Korean Cultural Center in Indonesia, Korea Tourism Organization, Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation, Korea International Trade Association, Korea Cosmetic Industry Institute, and Korea Institute of Design Promotion. Since its opening in December 2022, it has conducted ninety-three Hallyu promotions such as the K-Animation Festival, 'On The K: O', 'Hello Korea', 360 Coin Karaoke, Vivid 360, and the Korean Culture and Arts Festival. Over the past six months, it attracted approximately 1.65 million visitors and recorded sales of 600 million KRW. Cho Hyun-rae, president of the Korea Creative Content Agency, said, "We were able to confirm that K-content and related companies are creating positive ripple effects together."

To repay the support of local Hallyu fans, the 1st anniversary event featured performances by K-pop artists such as Apink and Mirae Sonyeon in front of about 800 people. They also did handprinting at 'Collect Town' inside Korea 360. Collect Town is a product exhibition hall displaying 534 brands and over 6,300 tangible and intangible products across eleven fields including K-pop artists, characters, animation, comics, games, movies, beauty & medical, consumer goods, food & kitchenware, traditional culture, and tourism. President Cho stated, "We will operate it effectively so that local Hallyu fans can take more interest in Korean culture."
