Mapo Cultural Foundation announced on the 4th that CEO Song Jeyong received a plaque of appreciation from the Korean Federation of Public Labor Unions (Korean Federation of Public Unions) in recognition of his contribution to improving the welfare of the foundation's employees. This is the first time that the Korean Federation of Public Unions has awarded a plaque of appreciation to the CEO of a cultural foundation under a local government.
On this day, Jung Jeonghee, chairman of the Korean Federation of Public Unions, visited the Mapo Cultural Foundation with federation executives and presented the plaque of appreciation to CEO Song.
Over the past four years, CEO Song has created a good working organizational culture by establishing systems to improve employee welfare, expand communication among employees, and boost the morale of public service workers. Welfare improvement measures include ▲introducing holiday bonuses for all employees ▲implementing a long-term employee leave system ▲supporting health checkup costs for executives and employees ▲newly introducing group insurance enrollment.
Additionally, to enhance communication among employees, the foundation supported ▲in-house club activities ▲launched Culture Talk (a monthly cultural and artistic enjoyment program for executives and employees) ▲operated lunchtime movie workshops, contributing to employee harmony. Furthermore, to boost the morale of public service workers, the foundation introduced ▲public service worker awards ▲support for flu vaccination costs ▲guaranteed working hours for the cleaning staff.
Jung Jeonghee, chairman of the Korean Federation of Public Unions, said, "This is the first time the Korean Federation of Public Unions has presented a plaque of appreciation to the CEO of a cultural foundation," adding, "I believe that the various welfare systems operated by the Mapo Cultural Foundation will serve as a good precedent and positively influence the improvement of labor conditions in the cultural and artistic sectors."
