Uljin-gun Area Sunrise Event Receives 55 Million Won Support
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Hanul Nuclear Power Headquarters supported about 55 million KRW for the local New Year's sunrise event held around Uljin-gun to welcome the Year of the Gapjin (甲辰) on January 1, 2024.
This event, supported as part of Hanul Headquarters' business support project, was held in various towns and townships including Geunnam-myeon Mangyangjeong Square, Uljin-eup Hyeonnae Port, Buk-myeon Nagok Beach, and Jukbyeon-myeon Emergency Runway, with about 7,000 residents and tourists participating.
The event featured various programs such as pungmulnori (traditional Korean percussion performance) to pray for New Year's wishes, writing wish notes, and burning a daljip (traditional bonfire), as well as sharing tteokguk (rice cake soup), tea, and hand warmers so that visitors could feel hopeful energy and warm affection.
