Gu Ja-yong, Chairman of E1, "Proud Labor-Management Culture"... 29 Consecutive Years of Wage Negotiations Settled Without Disputes
Labor Union Delegates All 2024 Wage Matters to Company
At the opening ceremony held on the 2nd at its headquarters in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, E1 announced that the labor union has delegated all matters related to the 2024 wages to the company. With this, E1 has achieved non-negotiated wage agreements for 29 consecutive years since 1996.
The reason E1 was able to build such a future-oriented labor-management partnership is thanks to continuous efforts to build mutual trust through management status briefings and labor-management meetings where employees and management share the company vision and openly discuss current issues.
On this day, Labor Union Chairman Park Seung-gyu said, “In an uncertain business environment, we decided to delegate so that the company can focus solely on its management activities,” adding, “I am confident that these efforts will serve as a foundation for achieving the company’s vision, and I hope that the proud culture of coexistence and harmony between labor and management will continue to develop.”
Chairman Koo Ja-yong said, “With 29 consecutive years of non-negotiated wage delegation, we have set another milestone in future-oriented labor-management relations,” and added, “I thank the labor union for trusting and entrusting the company, and let us continue the proud labor-management culture based on communication and cooperation.”
Chairman Koo also urged, “In the difficult domestic and international business environment, let all E1 employees move forward with one heart to turn crises into opportunities and pioneer a better future.”
